I finished two books in June during my first month off of school for the summer break. Much better than the zero books I finished in May.

Raising Hare: A Memoir - Chloe Dalton

Very similar in tone to James Herriot or James Rebanks, I really enjoyed this slow reflection of rescuing and raising a hare without trying to domesticate the animal. The care given to adapt to the hare's natural requirements gave a lot of points for reflection on how we interact with our own environments.

The Man in the High Castle - Philip K. Dick

I started watching the Amazon Prime TV series before realizing it was based on a book. So, I stopped watching and grabbed the book from the library. It took me two sessions to read because it's just really confusing. There are four main storylines who kind of intersect with one another, but only marginally. The climax felt a little anticlimactic but it might be just because I wasn't really sure why certain things were happening. To be honest, I had to read the Wikipedia page after finishing to make sure I got the whole main plot down.
