May was a failure for books. I finished none.

To be fair, I started two or three but gave up because I lost interest or never really figured out what was going on. I tried This is How You Lose the Time War by Amal El-Mohtar, but I was confused for more than the first quarter and decided to give up then. Next, I tried The Will of the Many by James Islington and also felt very confused for most of the first third.

I guess I did finish one - The Fellowship of the Ring by JRR Tolkien. I read this aloud to my older two girls, but it wasn't a first time read for me and I think I forgot to mark my reading dates in LibraryThing. They loved it and then we were able to watch the first film after starting The Two Towers (the first chapter of The Two Towers is actually the last scene of the movie, so we had to push ahead).

I'm into a new book now and I'm anticipating finishing this time. Summer is also starting so I'll have a lot more time and energy to read over the next few months.
